55638, Finding an Jumptronix Air/Fuel Gauge for S-AFC
Posted by CrazyEclipse, Jul-20-03 04:45 PM
Recently I had the S-AFC installed, was a pain in the ass, since I have no knowledge of what it does, can do, or how it works. After a week of fudging with it, the car runs fine, but gas is on the lean side. I've been modifying the HI-THROTTLE and LOW-THROTTLE settings and erasing the code in the ECU. Nothing is working!

My next step is to get that damn Jumptronix device and an EGT. I've been looking all over the internet to purchase Jumptronix, to no avail, as well as performed searches on the site, coming up with nothing. I do know that Corbin made them last year, but unsure of now.

If anyone can tell me where to purchase the Jumptronix or if Corbin still makes them, and the EGT gauge. There are a few different makers of the EGT gauge, anyone have suggestions on which one is best? I am determined to do this myself, not to get it professionally tuned. There are no dynos within 200 miles of me, sucks. Any help would be teriffic! :7

do you got a turbo 420a motor?
this is what you said,
"Recently I had the S-AFC installed, was a pain in the ass, since I have no knowledge of what it does, can do, or how it works."
***if you dont what it does or what not learn before you use it man you want to mess up your car?

"After a week of fudging with it, the car runs fine, but gas is on the lean side. I've been modifying the HI-THROTTLE and LOW-THROTTLE settings and erasing the code in the ECU. Nothing is working!"

***** learn what a super afc does man unless you want to learn when you have to build a new motor for $3,000+??
and the to end it on a good note.. the Jumptronix is not made any more.. RRE use to sell them, now they get something called "Zeitronix"
check it out its also good.

When I bought it, I only bought it for looks, not for performance. The guy that sold it to me basicly said that it is great at shows, hooked up even better because it adds a little more horsepower. Thinking that it would be an easy thing to do, I bought it. When it arrived 90% of the instructions were in Jap, 99% of the english directions didnt help, and being me, I had no idea what to do or why it kept stalling. I'm not into the performance part of cars, I'm into looks and audio. This is totally new to me.
Coming from a GIRL, I really think I did the best I could by searching through past posts, researching other peoples problems and answers, and general interent. I have 0 knowledge of performace or any of this. Don't bash me just because I got this unit and didnt know how to work it. I will prevail over this thing, and my engine will soon work better, I am only looking for suggestions and help, not critisism. Thanks. :thumbsup

Ronnie, I'll email you. Do you think that gadget would help? I am DETERMINED to make the thing do what it is supposed to do.

BTW, I confronted the dude that sold the thing to me asking him what this unit does, and his simple answer was "I dont know." Go figure that one.
