the car won't start, had to jump it to get it home. On the way home when i reved the engine to try and recharge the battery the interior lights would flicker. Pulled into the drive way and put the charger on it says i have a full battery. But the little volt meter on it and it says 16 volts. When i had the car running earlier the volt meter would say 15.5v at idle and 16.5v when i gave it gas. as i sat in the drive way tonight testing and retesting the car was going downhill. I could not get the car to restart even with haveing charged up the battery. Head lights would go dim when i would flip the switch. instrument cluster would take it's time coming up to full light. Now when i have the charger on the head lights won't even come on and i hear a humming from the engine fuse box. I have disconnected all my grounding wire set. I also got a code 12 before the interior lights went out. It seams my whole car has no juice. the starting problem started last week every once in a while. For some reason it just went completely dead tonight. if you may know whats going please let me know. also the only electrical work i have done was 4 weeks ago with the grounding wires and gauges (a/f., oil pressure and coolent temp).

check to see if your battery cables are on the terminals good. or it might be the alternator going bad. check the terminals first. later

left it on the chrager all night, came out this mourning to start it up. no turn over, no lights no nothing. i can get the lights to turn on with the charger hooked up, but thats about it. the termibnals are hooked up and clean. i'm on my way to get a new battery, hopefully it just that the battery can't keep a charge.
