Okay guys......and girls...Up until recently I have had a lot of blueish smoke coming out of my exhaust, exhaust baffles/raspy when I stomp the accelerator, and I am burnin oil like a mofo. I have read about the valve guides for the smoke, and even the STP oil treatment... Anyways, I decided to do my next oil change with Lucas Oil Treatment. So last nite about 11:00 pm I do the oil change using the Lucas stuff and 10w30 fully synthetic oil. After I get done I drive around the block a couple times to get the oil movin then I park it and call it a night. So I wake up, take my girlfriend home and while I am parked with the car running I dont see as much smoke coming out (SWEET ASS), so I pull out and all the sudden my exhaust doesnt seem as loud and when I stomp it, no rasp/distortion in sound!!! Holy shit, this is great! or is it? Could all of this been because of that oil treatment or is something really F'd up??? I am really worried cause it sounds too good to be good! Any info on this would be much appreciated!!!

Bluish smoke is the burning of coolant. Black smoke is the burning of oil. You most likley have a HG leak, I would check to see if you have any oil running down the back right of your block (back driver side). Im not sure on the valve guides problem. I dont know much about that.. just my 2cents.

I guess I should have mentioned that I am more worried about the exhaust tone. It used to be very fu#$ing loud. No it is somewhat quiet. This is what bothers me most. Dont get me wrong, I do like that it is not as loud and not haveing that awful rasp is sweet, but I am afraid something is wrong...

actually collente, i believe black is running pig rich, blue is oil, and white is water or your HG...pretty sure on that

black is pig rich and blue is oil. those are correct, i'm sure. i don't know about water.

Coolant(better known as bad head gasket) is white. rich is black. blue is oil.

Damn, that was an informative site! Does anyone else have any information on my exhaust tones since my oil change?? It is still doing it and I am gettin worried. I also think my car seems slower now too!

LOL, dude, it is all in ur head, dont worry, serioulsy...just because i put that site up and you think that ur oil sux now u are imagining ur car getting slower...its just like when I fill up with a full tank of gas and wash my car my car feels faster even though it isnt.
