i have a 99 gs, pretty much stock. 4-2-1 header and ractive exhaust. what kind of nitrous kit would be best, wet or dry? and what shot would be safe on it? i dont know much about nitrous cause i said i'd never get it but im itching to break 10s now. want a turbo kit but thats a little more down the road. also, with an HRC stage 2 kit, is there any risk of blowing up my engine running the boost thats recommended by hahn? any help would be appreciated.

did you search the forums b4 you posted this? that would be a good idea. your are going to have to have a pretty good engine to handle nos. i heard that nitrus express was a really good bottle to buy. you can adjust it real easy. as for running 10's, your going to need serious fuckin boost for that and you'll end up blowin you engine running really high boost on a stock engine.:thumbsup

im talkin about breaking 10s in 1/8. i ran 10.8 the other day with my system in there which was a good 140 pounds or so. and i sold it about 8 hours ago. and no, i didn't look for anything about nitrous cause i'm too tired to read all that shit. :P i knew it was in here somewhere but didn't want to look. also, i plan to run it in 1/4 sunday so i'll have a time for you guys. a friend of mine said she ran 15.7 in 1/4 in a stock gs. i'm sure she's full of shit. it ought to run 16.5 just guessing. anyway, peace out.

oh i see. 16.6 is what a stock GS runs for the 1/4.

You can run a 75 shot on stock internals safely with no problems, but I wouldn't recommend going higher. And I believe you can only use wet systems with our cars. Post in the nitrous/turbo forum for better answers.

I agree with above, the MOST you can run is a 75 shot, and I was told by DocWhiplash who uses nitrous that NGK plugs and better spark plug wires would be all that is needed except for the kit. As for the safest kit, I believe I read somewhere the NX Wet kit is he best, but I hear the ZEX kit is good too. Personally, NX is cheaper, and i dont like the color purple, good luck, im heading down the same road, and not all GS Eclipse run 16.6, most autos are high 17 to 18 second cars, which is what I have, Just FYI

I have my nitrous kit for sale. Its a NX wet kit. It has all the accesseries including bottle heater, remote bottle opener, purge, safety switch, etc. Its been used for 4 months. I used a 75 shot on it in my car with just my boltons no internal mods. Also I am automatic and I ran a 14.9 in the 1/4 mile. Without the n20 I ran a 16.9, thats a 2 second difference. I'm selling the kit for $500. Which is pretty cheap for the things you'll be getting.

I am currently running a 85 shot of N20 and have been for about 6 months on stock internals and fuel system with absolutely no probs. I have heard of people pushing upwards of a 100 shot but I myself don't wish to take that chance. All engines will take the power differently. One person might beable to handle a 100 and the other only 60. My best recomendation is to start with the smallest shot in the kit (usually 35) and gradually go up from there as you feel your car is handeling it ok. Also, stick with a wet kit from either NOS or Nitrous Express because they are both the best quality in my opinion. Hope this helps ya out. Anything else let me know.
