55461, I think i found out why my car was running like shit! Posted by pea_jay, Jul-17-03 08:57 AM I changed my plugs today and gapped them all to .050. I checked the gap on the old ones that was in it when i bought it and they were .035, .075, .075, and .074. I dont know what the hell the old owner was thinking. Hmmmmm, oh well, it runs better now! wooo! | |

Posted by cota472, Jul-18-03 05:13 PM when i bought my car i was having some problems with it running right, then one day my CEL came on. so i took the car up to my local auto zone and had them run the diagnostic. it said that 1 of my plugs had misfired so i bought all new plugs and wires. not a single one of the old ones was under .075. the new ones are in and no CEL since (well except when my waterpump blew up on me) | |

Posted by Vinh766, Jul-18-03 05:34 PM thanks so much guys, my car had problems too, i got new plugs and it says that there were pre-gapped so i trusted it and ran them for about 2 weeks, then my car had problems start, i couldn't figure out what it was until i found this thread, then i double checked, and there were all about .040, and now they run perfect, so much better. thanks. | |
