Arrghh this car is giving me nothing buy problems lately. After throwing my alternator belt one day I had to drive it home without the belt. I remember I may have gone into boost a couple times b4 I noticed the battery light turn on. But anyway I put a new belt in and then I noticed that the sparkplug wells were filled with oil. I took the valve cover off like a week b4 to see if there was anything wrong witht he valves because after I went to an autox the engine was making really loud noises. Like the piston slap got louder. I thought maybe it was my valves. Now back to now I did a compression test and I got like 250-270 in all cylinder but #3. It was 150 :( thats the lowest I've seen it at and then I checked my catchcan and it had oil! That's like the first time I've seen oil in my catchcan since the rebuild because these total seal rings aren't suppose to let any blowby through. So I added some oil and it shot up like 30psi but that's not enough its should shoot up like 100+ or something.

So my guess is that my valves are messed up. I know my valvestem seals are messed up because I'm burning oil and the vaccum gauge vibrates. Could this cause my vacuum to go lower because b4 it'd be around like 17-20 now it around 15 now and I noticed it shakes a bit more.

or... the rings or even the piston in that cylinder may have been messed up due to the cylinder walls being to wide. That's the one I'm hoping its not :(

what do you guys think? Should I get a leak down test done?

Too many things to speculate on, just do a leak down test, and that will point you in the right diretion, if not tell you exactly what is wrong. You got 250 psi of comression? Thats maddd high up there..What CR are your pistons?

hmm the engine sounds like its blown. Not as bad as when I first blew it. Theres hella black stuff that comes out of the exhuast also lotsa moisture too. But its been doing that ever since I rebuilt it and been driving it. How much does a leakdown test cost?

I think you can rent a leakdown tester at autozone, or advanced Hades. If you have it done in the shop it'll prolly cost more than the rental, unless you got the hookup.
