55367, ATX Tranny Oil Pan Seal....
Posted by gilee_8, Jul-16-03 09:45 AM
Sup guys.
What do I use to seal between the ATX Oil Pan and the Tranny?

Not sure if it is called the "Oil Pan" But the pan below the Tranny wehre I have to take it off for changing the Auto Tranny Fluid.

Thanks guys.

BTW, I bought some Sealant from Autozone used for between the Engine Oil Pump and the Engine Block. Can I use those?

Thanks again.
Gil

I believe they aftermarket such as frahm uses a cork type material as a gasket. I still think nothign beats Copper RTV.

The oil pump/block junction requires anaerobic sealent...I believe :P

All you need is ATF-RTV. This should've been posted in the ATX Tranny section.

yea, you can use the RTV, but there is a re-useable gasket out now, which i would think would make things easier...
