55137, Help on keydance codes...again!!! Posted by aquafreeta, Jul-13-03 01:28 PM
Okay you guys, I know you hear enough about the keydance stuff and I pretty much have it figured out but just wanted to double check myself.I did the keydance thing and this was my keydance...3-2-5-5-5...I am assuming the 3-2 means code 32 and the 5 points to the exact problem in that group...and the 5-5 is the end...On the site you have posted that tells you all the codes, it says this...
17-PO403 Code 32...EGR solenoid circuit Reasons...Harness and connector / Electric EGR transducer solenoid / EGR valve / EGR tube clogged / Vacuum hoses
...since there are 5 problems listed for that group...am I to assume that my problem is a vacuum hose? Please let me know if this is correct or if I have completed messed the code sequence up...Oh, and also...I took my factory intake off about 4 days ago to clean the throttle body and also to put in a performance intake. I havent received my intake yet and have been driving it (but not very much) with out an intake at all...could this create this problem by any chance? Thx so much...Anna

I think you're reading it wrong. The codes are always 2 digits. The same code will show up multiple times for multiple instances - for example I got two 42s in a row the other day, cause I disconnected my ASD relay a couple of times without resetting the ECU.
Anyways, I think that you're just getting the first code wrong - it should always be 12. I think you're just counting it like its 3 though, so I think your codes are 1-2-2-5-5-5...which gives you:
25 - target Idle not reached
Been having high idle lately? This could indicate a vacuum leak.

You'll also get a 25 for Idle air control motor circuit. You mentioned that you took the intake off and cleaned the TB. Maybe you disconnected the AIC circuit accidentally. Its the plug on the bottom side of the TB toward the rear. Maybe the cleaner messed up the circuit. If it seems to be running normally, I think I would try to reset the ECU(disconnect battery for 10 seconds) and see if the code comes back.
