55112, Exhaust heat sheilds

I don't know if this has been disscussed before because nothing came up in the search, but, at around 3-4 grand the heat sheilds rattel and make the car sound like ass. I was wondering, will it hurt anything to just take the fuckers off. I tried to bend them a bit and it didn't help. Oh, I'm talkin about the ones by the 2nd cat. All of them.

I took mine off for the same reason, just watch out if you park in the grass or over dry leaves :)

LOL, cool thanks. I figured that it would be all good cause I have done it to other cars, but this is my G/F car and I didn't know if there was anything important under there that they were protecting. Thanks again, add that to my list of to do's:(.

yeah, it is annoying as hell. maybe if your worried about catching stuff on fire underneath and heating up the metal of the car you could get that thermal wrap stuff. that way you could sheild heat, it wouldent rattle, and if you had an aftermarket exhaust it would keep it away from the elements...just a suggestion.

use stainless hose clamps and clamp them down in a few spots
