hi, can someone tell me the sypmtoms of bad piston rings? like what happens during morning starts, "car sits for 2 hours" starts, during a drive, and all the other stuff. i m burning like a quart a week. could that be my valve seals and guides? or is it my rings? thanks in advance.

check your compression. low compression numbers and loosing oil are some of the symtoms.

Yep, do a compression and leakdown test. The leakdown test will give you the best indication of how bad the rings are without actually taking the pistons out.
