Just curious what sort of problems you found after you put it all back in and drove for a couple days or so, so I can maybe learn from your mistakes.

Any leaks? CELs? Etc?

Well no probs here, but always pay very close attention to any leaks that may be there or devolop. Oil, and coolant the most important, and also fuel leaks. Keep an eye on coolant level, and do a complete job of double checking bolts and hoses to be sure all are tight. Also check to be sure all sensors and wire harnesses are pluged in. I always double check everything before first starting it up.

No problems here really either. Just the same stuff Matt mentioned about leaks. After I did my LAser rebuild, I had to deal with a leak in the water pump, but everything else was alright. On my talon, I had a slight leak in a water line since I forgot to clamp it down, which is understandable given the amount of stuff you need to check. I also retightened my alternator belt and power steering belt. That's all at this point though.

If you're careful during the install, you should be fine.

Oh yeah, i forgot one thing. My coolant freeze plugs in the block, sort of weeped coolant a very little bit when i first started it up. I had installed new ones, but after a while of the motor running they sealed right up. Supposedly, this is normal...

Not to jack the thread but a question I have and I feel is a very possible chance is, has anyone blow thier motor after a rebuilt? :wary. This would be my concern after spending thousands on a turbo kit, thousands on a rebuild, making it bulletproof and then to do it all over agains for some reason...:rolleyes

You can melt a JE piston same as a stocker.. but your tuning window is much larger ona low compression forged piston that a stock cast one. However, if you tune REALLY BAD, or you're just pushing the envelope as far as you can, yeah, you can still break it. Nothing is indestructable...
