and one more thing, is it worth putting it in myself? cuz i heard its a big hassle, or should i just go get my timing belt changed and get the udp replaces as well. i have installed stuff like my own system, intake, shocks, springs, stuff like that, i was wondering if i qualify to do something like this. thanks

yeah, that's the pulley you're looking for. it'll give a decent torque increace over the whole powerband.

if you're having the timing belt done, you might as well just give the UDP to your mechanic and have him throw it on while he's at it.

or, you can do the timing belt/water pump/thermostat procedure yourself and save a whole bunch of cash. you just need a vice (for the tensioner pulley), a torque wrench that goes up to like 75 foot pounds, sockets from 8mm to 18mm (i can't remember exactly what size the crank bolt is, i think it is 18mm), a 3 jaw 5 ton pulley puller (for the stock pulley, to remove the AF/X UDP you need a different tool, it's a "harmonic balancer removal tool"), and a nice blowtorch to heat up the stock pulley in order to get the metal to expand so you can pull it off without having to kill yourself.

doing a UDP install and timing belt procedure isn't even that hard. it's time consuming, it'll probably take you a day or 2, but you'll feel like you've really accomplished something and you'll probably save somewhere between $500 and $1000 or so depending on where you get it done.
