53991, URGENT!! Purge A/C system or just unbolt compressor? Posted by DR1665, Jun-27-03 05:20 AM
We're pulling my engine tomorrow morning and I need to know if this is required. We purged the system on our parts car, but I don't want to if I don't have to on my own.
So, can I just unbolt the A/C compressor and set it aside so I have A/C when I start her back up Sunday night?
TIA!!!!! :o

NO, don't mess with the AC pressure, just unbolt the compressor and swing out of the way, same thing with the power steering.

hrrmmm. I thought you had to purge the system and remove the compressor. You can just move the compressor out of the way for the swap? Good thing you mentioned that! Im doing a swap next weekend. :thumbsup
