53897, MP proudly introduces newest version of 95-99 MPx Throttle bodies

(NOte - Eclipse TB's are not available in colors yet, we are considering it at this point, along with different sizes as well. These pictures are of Neon tb's and are only to show the new adjustable throttle spring )

We are proud to announce our newest revision to our line of Eclipse throttle bodies.

With this new batch of tb's we made, we have phased in a adjustable throttle spring.

This is an interesting twist on our proven tb's because , it allows you to adjust the throttle spring pressure to your liking. You now have two levels, firm, and ultra firm. Therefore, you can easily switch back and forth, and or, if several years from now your throttle spring starts getting a little softer than you like, you can take it up one notch to make it more firm. Whats awesome about it, is that you can switch back and forth between spring rates within seconds, with only your hands. NO tools needed, no need to remove tb, etc.

We have phased this revision in at no extra cost, and it can now be found on all of our Eclipse throttle bodies.

Everyone who has already bought a throttle body from us and been waiting for a tb from us will automatically receive this new version.

Pictures and information will be updated on our website shortly. Meanwhile, they are on the shelf and ready to be shipped.

I'm a current owner of your product and i'm wondering if I'm entitled to an upgrade to this "current version"? Is there anyway to convert the old TB's to this "dual" stiffness type? If so, how much is it gonna cost current owners and do we get a hefty discount? ;) Sounds like a great idea, and I'm glad you guys are continuing development on the 420a platform. :thumbsup

Just a stiffer feel to the pedal , and it ensures the throttle plate closes (which shouldn't have been a problem). Just a different feel.

Last I heard Dave was looking for someone who was having problems with the throttle cam to come out so he could take a look at it.

Hmm then I'll be placing my order tommorrow night, do you think it's bad that I'm ordering parts for a car thats going to cost me over 3 grand to fix and by most peoples standards would be considered totalled?

ummmm. yeaaa..

Mabye you should repair the damage, then put some mods on it. That way you have a solid base to start from.

so Dave,
Are you saying that the people that have already bought and have your throttle body are going to get a new one? do we have to send our current unit back for the upgrade?

I doubt that Dave will offer free upgrades to the owners of the original throttle bodies simply because thats $$$ we're talking about. But its cool to see that MP is improving on the product.
