You've got your TPS and MAF on there and a bracket for some wiring harness action. I let them soak with generous amounts of generic WD-40 oil for about 15 minutes, but I only managed to get the bracket off (twisting my torx bit in the process - Yay! New Craftsman tool!) and then I sheared the head off another bolt. :(
I know this is a common problem, but what worked for you? I started to port on it anyways (dumbshit, I know), but I still need to get those sensors off to clean them out good. I thought about using a torch to heat the TB, but with the plastic sensors there - probably not a good idea.

the same thing happened to me. the IAC thing was easy to get off, but the TPS was a bitch! it was all rusted to hell. after stripping both bolts, i quit and just had my mechanic install my new throttle body for $25. it wasn't worth the stress.

I haven't had a problem. I used a torx bit on my ratchet and had no problems, removed and swapped them a few times now. It you snapped the head off I suggest using an extractor, then replacing it with bew bolts.

this rebuild has been cursed with broken bits and pieces...

Funny thing is these aren't rusty at all! They're just tightened beyond belief...

I'm not sure about this, but I think they're loctite'd in at the factory or something. Just seemed like breaking them loose took some force, then they just spun right out. Happened to me for the 2gnt AND Jeep TB.

Yes blue locktite, doesn't take too much to break the blu efree, it has a low torque rating.

I bet they used the red shit on me... just my luck. I'll need a torch. I've already twisted my torx bit (a Craftsman) and sheared another bolt head right off. This sux guys! Thanks for the input though. I guess it's a simple enough assy that if I have to I can drill/tap new holes or use a nut if need be. w3rd.

That thing is pain in the butt too get out. I have found that if U can get it to turn then stray WD40 in it and turn it then stray WD40. Keep doing this to get it out. The bolts have some kind of tread lock on them so it makes it very hard to get them out.

hell yea, i went to the auto shop and bought a 8 dolla torx screw driver and it just twisted like hell...

i pull out a set of drill/cordless screw driver bits that had the torx and put it in a vice grip to get the leverage on it and it worked fine...

btw mine was yellow loc-tite

DOH!!! Now I remember. I think with some of those bolts I ended up using needle nose vice grips to take them off. I also remember that I had to put some SERIOUS vice pressure on the head before I could get enough grip to break them loose.

isnt it funny how the head bolts can be not tightened all the way and should almost never be removed, but the ghey little sensors on the tb are thread locked in place? wtf! :P

i resorted to using a hack saw. it got the job done...i just needed to get a couple new screws. but then again, i was completely done with the stock throttle body...you might not be changing the throttle body, so i wouldn't suggest hacking into it.
