'Sup fellaz...I just got done installing my port matched intake manifold & bored throttle body w/ new gaskets, I also reset the ECU and now the car stays on 2000 rpms when its warmed up and when its in neutral. I test drove it after the install and it runs stronger now but just that idle wont come back down to normal (800rpm). Anything that I need to adjust? Any help would be appreciated. TIA.

either you have a vacuum leak
or you forgot to hook up the IAC motor or you messed with its position and now it doesnt know its position in/out so it thinks its closed when its actually open

If you messed with the IAC motors pintle position you can take it to the dealership and have them reset the position with the drb3 tool

i'd put money on it being the iac. when i changed my throttle body, i screwed up the iac and my car was idling at 2200 rpms in neutral. if it is the iac, it's def. something you can fix yourself. i reset the position of it and got it right the first time!!

Is it the top or the bottom sensor on the back of the throttle body? TIA

Also check your Throttle Position Sensor (TPS). It is the sensor on top, below is the IAC. i had a problem where my engine was idling to high because the TPS was reading that my throttle plate was open. When infact it was closed. Just take it off and install it again.

I made a new gasket w/ a thicker gasket material, I reinstalled the TPS...How do you reset the IAC motor? Need help ASAP. TIA

just take it out and move the position of the plunger, but make sure its hooked up and working correctly first, check the harness make sure its plugged in, then if all else fails then mess with the plunger, I would extend it all the way so the plunger restricts all the air and see if you can get it to idle, eventually moving it you should find its position and it will idle correctly, then if you get it to idle take it up to 20mph and stop and see if it holds idle when you stop, if not your IAC motor probably isnt working or needs to be reset by the dealer
