5336, what turbo to get
Posted by Sleeper4, Jul-18-01 03:02 AM
I have a 97 GS Eclipse and I wanna put a Stage 2 Turbo w/ front mounted intercooler. Anyone ever buy a Star Performance or Hans Racecraft? If so Id like to hear how good these turbos are so I know if I should get them or not.

I boy you can bet quite a few people here have both the Hahns and the Stars. I don't have a Stage 2 myself but I'll tell you, my car hauls ass now, imagine was a couple more PSI and intercooled will do! :) Both kits are good, look what they got and make a decision on what parts your rather want and go for the kit you want. Pricing is roughly the same I think also, Star comes with a FMIC standard on the stage 2 also. Happy Boosting!

I think you're going to have to do a search, buddy. I believe there are atleast 20 people boosting with either of the two kits and some with even a custom setting. Both kits seem to be working fine, just do a search on them and you'll see.

-parts waiting to be installed... Blitz Body Kit, Greddy SP Catback Exhaust System, Tokico Adjustable Illuminas Shocks, Progress Camber Kit...

-parts in transit... Eibach Pro-Kit, Sway Bars, Projection Headlights, Z3 Fenders, Carbon Fiber Hood, AEM Cam Gears, M3 Mirrors w/ LED...

-parts to be ordered next week... Strut bars, Katana K-6 18" Wheel/Tire Combo, Sparco Chrome Fuel Cap, Supra Taillights, APR GT-I Aluminum Wing, HRC Stage II Turbo Kit w/ FMIC, AFX UDP...

Don't forget that New Edge Racing is going to be bringing their kit out soon, and it looks killer!

Still no official date on it though....

that is why i am going with the HRC kit. NER is taking a bit too long. Beside I'm not comfortable with handing over 3 grand to Wyatt for NER turbo kit when I gave him $167 for two turbo timers and haven't heard from him nor seen the timers in over a months now. And we live in the same state.

If you are reading this wyatt, prove me wrong so that I may stand corrected.

Does anyone know where he disappeared to? I don't want to flame his creditbility without him defending it.
