I pulled #1 and #4 to take a look at them, and saw some oil on the first one, what could be causing this?...and please don't say a blown HG!!!:rolleyes :wary

Valve cover gasket. Acctually the round gaskets that go between the valve cover and the head. Replace valve cover gasket and 4 circular gaskets.
I had the same problem, and got paranoid. Many 420a owners have had the same problem. It is an easy fix. Just make sure to torque the bolts to factory specs, or you will get leaks again.

Yeah it's the Valve Cover gasket.. I changed my plugs a few weeks ago and found oil in the threads so I replease the gasket.. along with gaskets around the plugs.

o.k., that's my plan for tomorrow then...I can just go grab the gasket at like Pepboys or Kragen (and get me my military discount), correct???

sounds like a plan. if the leak continues, and you have the bolts torqued correctly, check to make sure the threads in your head aren't stripped. i had this problem recently - the aluminum head would contract a little while cold and would torque down properly, but when it heated up i bet it expanded a little and the threads that were already shady just let the bolt loosen up and oil would constantally go everywhere. it was a mess. i ended up getting slightly longer bolts and just going through the head to the other side where i attached a nut. no more leaking. not 1 drop.
