hi all,
last week or so someone posted about an article in HCI about mods for a/t's. the article was about the people at dunrite converters in elmonte and they make torque converters and such. their url is http://www.dunrite-converters.com , anyways i sent them an email last week asking if they made converters for the 2gnt, and they replied back and said yes and to call if i wanted more info. i;m curious tho, my car is a daily driver, how will this affect my car? is it worth doing?

I have a 3500 stall convertore and it will be like reving a manual tranny to 3500 RPM's and dropping the clutch. :) By then the Turbo will have already started to spool and the Nitrous will be on its way at about 5000 rpm's to take her to 8000 rpms. God I cant wait. :)

You got the level ten stuff..right? How is it?

Actualy the torque convertor is from a Co called BOSS HOG, but the shift tronic is from level ten. :) I dont know yet how it is cuase I am still building this project. I can tell you I think it will be just fine.

why did u buy the shift kit ? u bought a new tq converter and didnt get the clutches ????? with the power u are talking about they will be eatin like yesturdays left overs .. that serious heat u are creating .. going to 8k rpms .. u should look into clutches also man .. level 10 has them and they are like yin and yang when changing tq converters .. (maybe because they are attached lol ) look into that rage . ive been doing my homework also remember your tranny is only as strong as its weakest link .. ( and we all know our trannies suck )

with the new torque converter how did it affect your daily driving? does it drive harder now?

oracle doesnt have them yet but has been reading up on it. a car by me has a level 10 tranny .. ( its a ugly ass civic with level 10 painted on it.) i talked to the guy and he gave me a demo it smoked the tires and chirped second sweetly and for a civic ex it pulled hella hard .. for its type of car ..he even said the difference is astonding

Thanks, as for "when will it be ready" who knows! you never know with a project like this when so many things are either special ordered or made custom. I estimate to be up and running by late Augast and tuning through early Sept. Hopefuly in time for the NOPI event for some good ol exposer. :) I NEED MORE SPONSERS if I am going to hit 9's. I am out of cash and am now desparate to get it at least up and running into the 10's. We'll see! I should have some pics up soon, I will let you guy's know where to access them, when I do.
