53178, Rev Limiter removel and/or fuel cut removal Posted by BlockHead, Jun-13-03 04:33 PM
I was wondering on how to go about removing the rev limiter and/or the fuel cut. I have an MSD ignition to keep me from over revving, and I have upgraded valvetrain that can handle the extra revs. Any help is much appreciated. Thanks Jarrett

The stock ECU has fuel cut at 7200RPM(or 7300) and ignition cut at 7800RPM. Unfortunately for us, there is no easy way to modify the ECU to raise these limits.

Of course, if you replace the fuel and ignition with standalone system, then you can get rid of those nasty limits as well. Just raplacing the fuel system(with something like the DFI) will let you rev it to the ignition cut, but if you want to go higher you have to go with a full standalone.
