i have a 99eclipse and want to know how can you tell if a ecu is for a manual or a automatic.

Find and post the part number off the ecu.

you can tell if you have a MT PCM(ECU) because it will have a 7300 or so revlimiter. just take your car up to where it hits the revlimiter and you'll know.

well i had a shop do a manual conversion on my car and i gave them a 99 manual ecu but dont know if they put it in or just gave me it back.Becuause i asked for all the parts back and i punched it today and the revlimiter kicked in around 6800-6900 but i also had my needles of a couple years ago when i put my indigos on and put them back on the closet i could.And what number do you need because theirs tons of them.

The one for a MT will say chysler P/N P05293190AC
the one for an AT will say chysler P/N P05293191AC

Is that the only difference? Can I use a 3191AC in my MT and just suffer the lower (6900 vs 7300) rev limit?
