52946, Another SAFC tuning question
Posted by AaronD95GS, Jun-10-03 08:32 AM
On my SAFC I have the pressure setting on 7in 7out and it is only reading up to 80 percent airflow. should i put it up to 8in 8out or will that make a difference. The reason I am asking is because I wnat to make sure that it will help because for some reason it is a pain for it to read any airflow when I change the pressure settings.

i use 5 in and 5 out. gives me the most accurate pressure settings. some people say that 6 in and 6 out is good too.

by the way, don't pay attention to airflow. pressure is what you should be looking at. you should be checking to see that you get about 0 mmHg before you start your car. with 5 in and 5 out the AFC reads i get about .12 bar before starting (0 psi, therotically it should read 0 bar) if i change the setting from 5 in and 5 out i get insanely-off readings like -200 mmHg at idle (should be around -430 to -460 below static), and then my "car is off but 'on'" reading changes to like .5 bar or something like that.

so yeah. for my car at least, 5 in and 5 out works best.
