52285, Neon 420A Cam Gears fit on eclipse?

Just curious since we share a motor, but I thought they were reversed? So will AEM Cam gears for the NEON 420a fit on our cars?

No. I don't remember specifically why (i'm pretty f'n braindead right now), but i do know they will not work in our head.

Cam gears are the same. The cams themselves, however, are different. That's why the backside of our cam gears is marked for the 2.4 motor.

They work. I have some. Only thing is that the timing marks are off half a tooth. Take your stockers and make you some new timing marks on the adjustables.

I think it's just the AEMs that are fucked up, though. I mean, the stock gears have the same markings, so the aftermarket ones should also, no?

when my aem cam gears came in they said neon 420a, and theyve been on the car for about a year now... they work.

Yeah I'm pretty sure the misconception about can gear snot being the same came from AEM screwing up in the first release of the cam gears.

15.9 @ 86.7mph

Oops. Yeah, the cam gears are the same.
