52120, Atten ECU guru's (Murix, Dino...)

I know there's been some really good topics about how our ECU's can adjust fuel maps to large extents among other things. I have not had an EGR tube for over a year. I have gotten codes, then I'd reset and they would eventually come back, longer each time. I know the the EGR cycles and a simple diode will not send the false signal. My car sat for about 5 weeks and the battery was DOA. Since I have got the car running again and such, and I have not seen lucky 32. Like clockwork, it comes on after mile 100 mile drive to my parents house, but it didn't. I drove back and it still hasn't. It's been 2 weeks and no code. I've drove it hard and nice and everyday. No code. The bulb in the dash still works. Can our ECU adapt to this? I know new Chrysler PCM's can do this as well as new GM's.

Thanks alot. I should do a CEL mod, maybe change the color of the bulb or something. I've gotten tired of amber.

Yeah, I would like to see a modified CEL available, maybe one that says that the DSM is fast/powerful enough to get a CEL. A blue light that says "FAST" would be great!
Bwahahahahaha!

Trust me it will be back once the ECU tests flow again. Let me ask you though, do you still have a vacume line running to your EGR selonid? I had it hooked up to vacume and electric for a while, well I unplugged the Vac source and I have not seen the code in a long while. So you may want to try that.

Got it today! The EGR has cycled a sh*tload of times since I've had the new battery in. Why almost 3 weeks later? I know I'm beating a dead horse w/ the EGR crap, but it seems to vary so much from one 2g to another. Kirby-- I might try unplugging the vac all together. I mean I haven't had an EGR tube in over a year, on and off with the light all the time.

Well I had the exact same thing, where it would keep comming on, but since I unplugged the vac source, it has not come back. I'm sure it might sometime, but it's been about a 2 months or more since I have seen it. Try it and see what it does.
