5198, high flow cat on NA cars?
Posted by koolade9, Jul-15-01 01:33 AM
does anybody have a header/highflow cat/catback exhaust on their NA car?? if so did you notice an increase in top end? does it still idle the same? any info would be appreciated.

also, does anybody make one that will bolt right in place of our stock cat?

....and I use a generic HF Cat, my engine internals are far from stock, so my idle isn't normal. Actually it sucks balls( up and down from 900-1100), but I don't care - it sounds like a little V8 with my CAI and mild headwork.

I've got a 2.5" all the way back save the HotShot headers. And IceMan intake. Idle moved up about 100RPM (850)with the stock internals. I would figure that with a set of cams and porting that the idle will go up slightly higher than that. Hoping that's not the case, but we'll have to wait and see.
