51906, Improving your 0-60 times
Posted by JksEclipse95, May-26-03 07:27 PM
I've just recently gotten into making my car faster as I spent most of my time on my cars apearence. So far I have a cold air, exhaust, 8.5 wires and 17's. I'm doing the final gear mod and debating if I should do a 57 or 60mm TB. I'm looking for ways to increase mostly my 0-60 times... I know there are alot of ways to tune cam gears and was wondering if they can by tuned just to increase that..I don't particularly care if my top ends sucks as I don't really track it...
As I see it..

Headers do mostly top end
pulleys can be really good or bad
don't want to turbo it as I got 83000 miles on it

Any ideas would kick ass!! :thumbsup

anything that raises your torque and low end. also, weight loss and maybe a lightweight flywheel for acceleration.

you still use your motors 'top end' when doing a 0-60 run.. so don't discount that.

oh, top end rebuild, the lighter the valves, valve springs, lifters, etc. are the better acceleration you get too i think...
