What is porting and what does it do? not sure if this is the right forum but since i dont know what it even is related to i stabbed in the dark :-)

porting is when you take a die grinder or something and grind away at the opening of something to let more of something through it. Like if I were to port my throttle body I'm trying to make the opening bigger so I can let more air in.

porting = hand
boring = machine (better)
