51815, Engine combinations questions and help Posted by Trpljmp69, May-25-03 09:04 AM
I have a 98 GS and finaly got the money to rebuild my motor. I want to find the 2.2L stroker kit and am looking at putting the Star stage 2 turbo kit on my car. I already have plans to have my head ported and polished. I am looking to also put in cams, intake manifold, injectors, TB, Ignition, clutch and light weight fly wheel. I am alittle unsure about everything due to the fact that this is the first engine rebuild. This car is to be a daily driver. I do want to pass smog (in ca). I want to make sure that it is reliable and efficent. I want all the luxeries while having a fast car! THIS MEANS I KEEP MY AC :D
I currently have full exhaust as my only engine mod.
Am i on the right track? Where can i locate the stroker kit? Any suggestions? Will my CPU be able to handle everything that im doing? What size injectors will i need? Where can i get the parts for the cheapest price?

You need to go to the following places Noob: (Welcome by the way) 1) Things we've seen before forum here at 2GNT 2) Remember - the search utility is your friend. 3) Howell Automotive has a lot of 420A stuf for you to drool over 4) MotoFool (www.gottude.com) has a lot of nice stuff that is also droolworthy.
Keep at it & take your time. I would suggest you go in stages. If you are really looking to go all out all at once, you might want to buy a complete engine and have it built ground up while you drive your current one into the ground. :) That will reduce down time and ensure more patience. Again, welcom aboard!
