Has anyone removed there PCV valve and cap't the two ends?? Is the PCV just for Emissions?

the pvc releases crankcase pressure!!! If you remove it you'll end up with oil leaks because the pressure will blow out gaskets because it has to release the pressure somewhere.

Yes, you need the PCV> It allows the engine to BREATH inside. You COULD JUST LET IT VENT To the atmosphere but that could/would leave a mess under the hood. You REALLY don't want to cap it off as the Positive Crankcase Ventilation valve (PCV) does just what it says in it's name. YES it is part of the emissions but it is a necessary part -- ESPECIALLY if you must meet EMISSION STANDARDS in your state - EMISSIONS TESTING.

...is important but forget about that. Just like these guys said, your engine needs to exhale and without it you will eventually need a rebuild (to rid all your leaks).

Ditto what Skrilla said. I put a breather filter after the PCV Valve and let the pressure vent under the hood. Keep that hot air out of the intake manifold.

I epoxied my PCV valve shut too keep the crap out of my intake manifold. You can only do this if you have a breather on the other port on the valve cover. The pressure has to escape somewhere.
