Okay, I'm going to be running a garrett t3/t4 TO4E at 10psi on my 97 rs. I have pieced together everything, and now im down to fuel components and management. I ordered a Walbro 255lph HP fuel pump, and now am in the process of looking for FPR and Injectors. Basically, what im confused on, is what FPR to use (static,rising rate) and what size injectors. I was just planning on doing 550's or 650's (reason so big because Im rebuilding a seperate 420 block and head on the side, and want to turbo my current until it's ready to go, and plan on running at least 20psi on the built motor), and a aeromotive 1:1 FPR. As far as management, I have the profec e01, and e-manage. Question comes down to, do a static fpr 1:1 and use the emanage to control the injectors, or a rising rate 2.5:1 or something... Please give me your feedback, Thanks a lot guys.

the firign of the injhectors and pulse width etc. is still controlled by the ECU. But at stock fuel pressure the huge injectors can't be fired for a short enough duration bythe ECU to put in a small enough amount of fuel for say idle. As vaccum rised and boost is seem the ECU still controll the sam aprameters but there is more fuel from thetank being delivered to the injectors.

I'm not terribly familiar with the e-manage, but can't you stage injectors with it? As in, keep the stockers for idle and off boost driveability, and use say two or even four 720's or something stupidly huge for fueling under boost? You'd retain stock idle and driveability, and still be able to provide fuel for lots of air.
Regardless, a 1:1 ratio is ideal. You've got a lot of control with the e-manage over pulsewidth, take advantage of that.

With a rising rate (FMU), is there a pressure you set it to, and then it does it's 12:1 thing from there? Like at idle (vacuum and 0 boost) what would the fpr be doing? would it be doing what I have it set to, or according to the vacuum, can someone xplain to me how this works?
Can someone explain what a 1:1 static does at idle, 0 boost, and maxboost, as well as what a FMU does at these same states.

I think with the FMU, your stock FPR controls everything at idle and static. Only when you start boosting does the FMU actually kick in. This is bad when you have larger injectors because you cannot adjust the amount of fuel the stock FPR puts out at idle/static. Get an SFMU and use that instead, it gives you full control over your static/idle pressures because it takes place of the stock FPR.

AHHHHHHHHHHH I am soooo confused.
If I run 450cc's people are telling me that the aeromotive afpr (http://www.jdsperformance.com/index...item&inmake=all) will be fine. And that if I run a 12/10/6/:1 it will be way too much fuel going in. Basically I just need around the stock pressure, and when boosting push a little more fuel in. Feed back and maybe a link to learn more about this topic may help. Thanks guys...
