Did you check your throttle cable and its not to tight keeping it staying open?

Performance: Stuff that makes my car run better or go faster

Looks: Stock because looks doesnt make my car go faster or run better

Weight Reduction: CF Hood, No A/C or Powersteering Accessories, No rear interior

Yeah I notice my car does that too, but it stays at 1000 rpm and once i stop it goes down to about 700. Check your TPS Sensor.

That's pretty normal. Want it to stop? Unplug your speed sensor.

Mine does it too, but only when my CEL is on due to a broken connector on my TPSensor!! Its annoying but it doesnt really hurt anything!!

Yeah, thats completely normaly. You can test it out yourself. at a complete stop with your rpms around 800 or so just start turning your steering wheel from side to side. See that? RPMs go up. There are alot of devices that are still on when the car is normally operating.

to the earlier question about the kit, yeah i like the rear but i got rid of the rest of the blitz kit, tired of everyone and their momma havin one! so i put some oe stuff on, i think it looks better now than before! if you get one get poly not fiber i got fiber, only good for molding in... Thanks for the responses about my question, glad to hear im not the only one, and yeah i just hooked up my speedo after the swap, it started happening as soon as the speedo worked again. i can deal with the extra rev, it helps when your in traffic, keeps you from chokin!

We have vacume assisted brakes. They will keep the idle up untill you are completly stopped.

i find it strange that my car doesnt do that. when i put her in neutral, it will drop to about 1100 rpms and then go down from there. i never have it sitting at 1500. hmmm....

Added the turbo wing and lowered it

When ever my car is in motion and I either have the clutch in for a while or I actually have neutral selected, the engine won't go below about 1100 rpm whether I am gonig 60 or 5. Once stopped the idle goes to 700-800.

it helps with braking...

It's due to the Brake using some of the Vacume. This in turn feeds a little more air to the engine causing it to stay rev'd up.
Don't believe me? Start your car and pump the brakes. IT'll rev up. Also by increasing the engine rev it produces more of a Vacuume thus helping the brake booster.

On the note of turning your steering wheel side to side this will cause the engine to rev from increased DRAG on the engine due to the power steering pump on the engine. The increase in drag will pull your RPM's down and then teh computer will tell the engine to rev to compensate for the TOO LOW RPM's.

1500 rpms sounds a bit high IMO. When i come to a stop, it stays around 1100 rpms, then once fully stoped, it drops to idle at about 850 rpms.
