okay i have the apexi rsm and i get 16.08-16.89 quarter mile when i test my car by myself.
tonight i raced my friend's crx si and i barely beat him wtf, he had a better start but i eventually just passed him by 2-3 car lengths..shouldn't i have just wasted him?
this also happend with another friends 92' cavalier z24 last week WTF!
i feel like my cars the biggest pos in the world right now

its normal. a crx doesn't weigh shit. and if it has some mods it'll be quick. my homie had one with a gsr engine in it. that thing was fuckin fast. i don't know about the old Z24 but the new ones are pretty quick too.

yes as much as we dsmers dont want to admit some of the hondas are kinda quick up against our cars. because they are basically go-carts, they are so light, thats why their small engine can balance out and get close to us. but ive still never been beaten by one and the last older model si i raced that hardly weighed nothing and i had 2 friends and heavy subs and i ate him alive. i got a car length ahead of him at a rolling start of 30 and he just kept going further and further away. but he was pretty quick.. i guess :D

oh okay thanks guys..yea i did beat him and if we did a full quarter mile i would have had like 5 car lengths on him..but i was like damn that little shitbox kept up with me! haha

You consider 2-3 car lengths or even 5 keeping up with you, id say theres nothing wrong with your car, like what was said before those little hondas are light, motor swaps and they're dangerous!!! For the old Z24 Cavs, they are faster than the new ones since they had the 3.1L V6 in them and if it has a 5 speed its even quicker (my bro had a 93 5 speed) it was quick!!

It's probably the fact he got a better launch than you with a full catback especially the turbo catback your losing a lot of lowend torque so he's able to take you off the line, as long as you beat him in the long run that's what matters.
