Hey guys,
Give me some feedback here, i wanted to finally make this a VERY reiable street car, and wanted to know your thoughts. do i?
Go with a haltec, or Tec III stand alone ecu that I have to spend 10-12 hours rewireing the intire car, and spend 4k..
Or do i find/make a 420A to 4G63 harness adapter that allows me to hook up a AEM ecu for a turbo eclipse..
Maybe even an AEM-like ecu that is very reliable that i don't know about, what do you think?

OR none of the above. HRC has developed a new fuel unit that will replace the DFI unit. Though, I haven't looked far into it, I'm sure it will be easier to tune than a TEC II/III. I wouldn't bother with rewiring ANYTHING to match the harnesses on a 4g. They use totally different engine air management. What are your goals? 10psi? 20 psi? Fuel is going to be your hardest to tune. Crane makes an assortment of ignition modules to retard timing. What set-up do you plan to run?

the AEM come is a full race version that will work on any car. its finding the stock maps to use as a baseline for tuning thats the hard part.

How do you figure $4k TEC-3 is in the mid thousand dollar rangem, around $1,500. I looked at the TEC-II and even downloaded the software, the set up didn't seem too bad.
I personnaly don't trust the AEM, not enough experience with electronics IMO. I would like to see it first hand... on some one elses car before I even thought about buying it.
