Ok, I had a couple people ask me about the intake manifold recently so I just called Indyheads for an update. I have been out for sometime with a broken arm, and a blod clot in my lung i got from the broken arm so I hanv't been in touch with them as normal.

Everything is going great, they have a spare intake manifold from jamesman along with a car donated from theallpowerfulme I believe. So this could be out for our car in a month maybe little more. They did mention something about the possibility of having a deposit from the people that are buying, I will keep yas posted. All-in-all it will be coming out for our car soon, this is really good to hear there are no more obsticles. :)

was it ever communitcated to them that we wanted an inlet that would match a 60 mm TB? specifically, the modern performance tb, as that's the only aftermarket one readily available for the eclipse 420a

I just don't want all of us to buy the mani and have to port match the thing the first day

it will be made to fit like the stock intake manifold. i will check to see if somthing can be done for those of u with 60mm tb's.

what about us with ported heads? are we gonna need to gasket match the new manifold too?

I cant wait for these to come out. I hope they have the same gains as the Neon one. I heard like 20hp but im not beliving that.

What kind of price are we talking here?

well.. according to the list that was made a long time ago.. we had over 50 i believe.... im sure that not everyone is going to really come through (we all know how gbs go).. but if we could guarantee a certain amount... could we see a drop in the price? let us know... gracias!:thumbsup

If they have a car, its not mine. They have never contacted me since I last called them. But I know for a fact they have the manifold.

How much of a gain do you all think it will be over a port and polished stock manifold with a 60mm throttle opening? Cause $500 for the manifold plus probably more to get the opening ported to 60mm is a lot more expensive than paying ARD $100 to port the stock mani. Well....I guess only a dyno test could really tell. We need to make some dyno tests!!

they should make a base model and an extreme model. the base that would go to a completely stock car and the extreme that would bolt up to one that has the 60mm tb and everything ported/polished. that would save a lot of work. just my 0.2

thats a good fuckin idea. they should do that. i don't think i'll buy one if i need to have it ported and polished to match my 60mm tb and ported head.
