50148, Fuel Rail deg on the an fitting? Posted by Talon95Stang, Apr-30-03 05:42 AM
Does anyone know what deg angle the AN fitting is on are fuel rail? I'm talking about where the little thing the comes off the rail where you can hook up a fuel pressure guage. My fuel pressure guage is leaking and I want to use a NOS line to hook it up. I think its a 4 an line. So if I got a line form NOS would it leak? and what is are fuel pressure susposed to be?

Its -04 AN, but I don't remember the angle. If you have a '95 and have your FPR vacuum line hooked up, then you may see about 38 psi at idle.

My 98 is a 4-AN as well as Ryan's 99.

So does anyone know what angle it is? I got an Earls 4an female to 1/8 pipe male fitting. Will this leak? Thats my only concern. Has anyone used a 37 deg AN fitting on the rail with success?

All AN (Army/Navy) fittings have a 37 degree angle. The test port is -4AN... the NOS brand lines work fine.

Looks like you got a 4AN to 6AN adapter. The arrow points to the 6AN side..

I tried to use a Earls female 4 AN to 1/8 pipe fitting. It does not seal at all!! There is no way that the fitting on the rail is 37 deg. It must be 45 deg. Have you tried a NOS line? I need help ASAP.

I've used NOS, Earls, Russell, and Aeroquip fittings and they all worked fine.
