49918, Fuel Pump Install Went Bad!! - Please Help Posted by esseclipse, Apr-27-03 01:33 PM
Well I was installing a Walbro Pump into my 99 Eclipse and when I was pulling the plug out of my existing fuel pump the wires came out the plug part and I got them mixed up. Basicly I mixed up the polarity and started the car. Did this hurt or ruin my fuel pump or anything else? The car is running fine now but I didn't know if me mixing up the wires could have hurt anything.

If it works now you should be fine. My question though is what mods do you have that you need a walbro? Turbo I hope?

i concur w/ jeff, you should be fine. mixing up wires is a no-no, but you got lucky, or so it sounds.

well if you hooked it up backwards then I think it'd reverse the flow.
