I got a cold air intake (not iceman) for a 97 car and the battery kinda gets in the way. But other than that it works great.

The eclipse/talon engine bays stayed the same from 95-99. There was some minor changes like the relocation of the fuel filter in later models but the throttle body/intake/battery area wasn't changed. Get an AEM CAI, it fits perfect, doesn't scrub up against anything.

I've got an AEM, and the damn thing still hits my battery. It doesn't have a sharp enough angle, so I can't get it to fit on my throttle body very firmly. I'm worried it's gonna pop off.

I have an AEM short ram intake and all I did was move the battery out of the way first. Mine started scratching against the rod that holds the battery. I used some hose that I cut off the new intake and put it around the rod and moved the battery back. Never scratched again and everything works fine. I've had it like that for almost a year now.

Moisture- u sure you installed it right? mines still has about 1/2 inch of room before even going anywhere near the battery.

ANYONE! I HVE AN AKIMOTO INTAKE NOW. AND THE DAMN CONE FELL OFF SO I'M CURRENTLY/TEMPORARILY RUNNING WITH THE STOCK INTAKE (so slow) I WANT TO REPLACE THE WHOLE THING BECAUSE I'VE HAD IT FOR 4 YEARS AND IT'S SCRATCHED AND DOESN'T LOOK GOOD ANYMORE. WHERE IS A GOOD PLACE TO GO FOR THE ICEMAN INTAKE AND WHAT'S A GOOD PRICE FOR IT?
