hmm.. that sux... but not sure what i'd suggest. maybe take off the intake manifold and throttle body and inspect them for any dirt buildups? good luck.

it shouldn't be very hard just time consuming. you will need to get new gaskets before you start the job and relieve the fuel pressure by disconecting the wire harness on your fuel pump which is underneath your back seat. When you get it all off it might be a good idea to clean up your mani and TB. Carb cleaner works well.

Take it to a mechanic and have them do a compression test. Post the numbers here. They shouldn't charge more than $20 to do it for you.

Dirt in the intake is no big deal. Rocks, cats, and hondas though, are big problems.

i would try unpluging ur ecu over night or something i dont know if it will help but its worth a shot. Maybe ur computer got uset to the filter being off and needs to relearn it being on.

Ok First thing i would do is:
-Pop hood
-pop off fuse cover
-pull the pink fuse labedl Engine (this is to reset the ECU)
-wait a minute or so for the memory to clear
-plug back in and drive

If it still misfires, change plugs.

You see there's a little known secret here at 2gnt.com..when something goes wrong with our cars, just disconnect the battery for about 20 minutes and put it back...good as new for a day or two..then lather, rinse, and when the CEL comes back, repeat..
