thats unbelievable, you would think that a $500 manifold would fit perfectly. Guess not, and the threads arent even threaded all the way? What were they thinking.

Yeah thats not a very encouraging sign if I may say so, also with those screw problems! Might get the same results spending $500 for a machine shop to totally port and polish the stocker out or make your own with tubular steel. Just a thought

just because its $500 doesn't mean anything. i paid $475 for my greddy header and it doesn't line up to the ports right either.

that's horrid, of course me with my bastard 7mgte engine in my supra has to custom fab a decent intake manifold for a huge ass intercooler i bought :rolleyes

I dont know if you guys are aware but PhatRidz makes some good products for the Neon including a custom made manifold. They also make custom manifolds for the eclipse 420a motor. Here is the site:

I dont think those were the same because if you look on the Howell site the ports are perfectly round, not oval shaped...

those are basically the prototypes and they have some minor problems, what do you expect???

looks fine to me, so its not gasket matched at the end, I think indy knows what they are doing.

so why would a company start selling prototypes to the general public?? Those manifolds have been available for the neon boys for over a month now. They are not prototypes.

Sure will, if you have the mods to require such an intake manifold, like high compression and high lift cams, Lots of nitrous on a built engine or high boost turbo setups. If you don't have the mods for the right amount of airflow you'll end up hurting the power output if you just throw a high flow manifold on a minor bolt on setup.

Indy has had a long history with mopar owners. They are one of the top-notch people to deal with when building a mopar, just ask anyone that knows. They know what they are doing.

Weird, my Greddy header lines up with the ports perfectly.
