What should I use to clean it out?????

carb cleaner works wonders

take it off and use carb cleaner (as mentioned ^^^) + a wire brush and a sponge. it will be glowing once you are done. i cleaned mine at roughly 135k miles, and it took me about 20 minutes to get every spec of gunk off of it.

i've been told by satan NOT to use carb cleaner!
they said it will damage the injectors. There is fuel injector cleaner out there that you should use instead. Makes sense considering we have injectors not a carb.

Fuel injector cleaner is stuff you put into your fuel tank?

Autozone sells cans specificly for the throttle body. If you ask me though, it's the same as carb cleaner.

carb cleaner EATS o-rings. (thats a NO-NO)
get mopar combustion chamber cleaner or TB cleaner from autozone.

The carb cleaner shouldn't touch any o-rings... but if you take the TB off to clean it, then it won't matter. Also wipe down what you can get of the inside of the manifold, the EGR dumps some nice cabon and gunk in the manifold behind the TB.

Yea I was going to take it off anyways just to make it easier to clean and be precise....I really appreciate your feed back....so an over all consesus is not to use carb cleaner then?????

Nope. I think Carb cleaner works wonders. Especially if you take the TB off. Carb Cleaner and a wire brush:thumbsup

as mentioned above, it doesnt matter what you clean it with if its off the car. i personally used carb cleaner because it was cheap and it worked really well.

I used STP throttle body cleaner to clean mine, and it worked great. Just spray on, use a brush to get the stubborn stuff off, wipe it down, and your done.
