47753, I'm stumped and PISSED Posted by fauchpj, Mar-28-03 08:33 AM
after a long time of driving around with a cel and bad misfire, i went and bought a coil pack. i got rid of the cel and put the new one on. take it out for a spin, NOT A THING HAS CHANGED. i am so pissed right now. and to make things worse, my good friend mr. cel just came back to greet me right when i took the car out. heres what ive done:
new wires new plugs new coil pack
and the fucker still runs like a pile of dog shit if i try to get on it. im starting to think fuel now. maybe clogged injectors? how do i test for that?
heres all the stuff it could be: 106 PO300 43 Multiple cylinder misfire* Ignition coil / Spark plugs / Ignition circuit / Injector / Upstream HO2S / Compression pressure / Timing belt / Crankshaft position sensor / Air intake / Fuel pressure / Crankshaft position sensor circuit and connector / Bad tuning 107 PO301 43 Cylinder #l misfire* Ignition coil / Spark plugs / Ignition circuit / Injector / Upstream HO2S / Compression pressure / Timing belt / Crankshaft position sensor / Air intake / Fuel pressure / Crankshaft position sensor circuit and connector / Bad tuning 108 PO302 43 Cylinder #2 misfire* Ignition coil / Spark plugs / Ignition circuit / Injector / Upstream HO2S / Compression pressure / Timing belt / Crankshaft position sensor / Air intake / Fuel pressure / Crankshaft position sensor circuit and connector / Bad tuning 109 PO303 43 Cylinder #3 misfire* Ignition coil / Spark plugs / Ignition circuit / Injector / Upstream HO2S / Compression pressure / Timing belt / Crankshaft position sensor / Air intake / Fuel pressure / Crankshaft position sensor circuit and connector / Bad tuning 110 PO304 43 Cylinder #4 misfire* Ignition coil / Spark plugs / Ignition circuit / Injector / Upstream HO2S / Compression pressure / Timing belt / Crankshaft position sensor / Air intake / Fuel pressure / Crankshaft position sensor circuit and connector / Bad tuning
42 PO352 43 Ignition coil #2 primary circuit Harness and connector / Ignition coil #2 43 PO351 43 Ignition coil #1 primary circuit Harness and connector / Ignition coil #1
hell maybe its the wiring harness? i tested my old coil pack with an ohmmeter and it was out of spec so i assumed that was the culprit, but evidently not

I bet its the fuel system thats giving you problems....I think it costs 50 bucks to get your injectors fully clean....have you looked at your fuel filter and fuel pump...plus one of your lines could be majorly clogged too...also your fuel pressure could be down....have you cleaned out your intake manifold? it could be dirty...your exshaust might have a leak in it per say maybe just letting out fumes
Performance: Stuff that makes my car run better or go faster
Looks: Stock because looks doesnt make my car go faster or run better
Weight Reduction: CF Hood, No A/C or Powersteering Accessories, No rear interior

well i went and unplugged the MAP and replugged it, changed the sides for the wires and hooked everything back up. runs like a champ. gunned it in 4th doing 35 and no misfire. we'll see how it holds up
