47650, Crankcase catch can breather install help Posted by esi420, Mar-26-03 08:38 PM
Hey guys,
Quick question. I just bought the crankcase breather catch can from RRE. There are fittings on it for 2 hoses to connect and then also a drain. There are also 2 hoses coming from the valve cover(PCV and one that goes to my air filter)
Do I hook up both hoses to the can?
Can I run without a PCV valve like the 4g63 guys can do according to the instructions?
They have an install page, but it didnt help
www.roadraceengineering.com/instructions/catchcaninstructions.htm
Thanks again

I have both lines from my valve cover going to my catch can. I teed them together, so I'm only using one fitting on the catch can. And I just removed my PCV valve and capped off the line on the intake mani.

yes you may do that or just run the breather hose to the catch can and plg the other "arm" for the catch can. If you do this you might want to "upgrade" your pcv valve with a break check valve. our stock valves and not ver sturdy and will leak boost into the valve cover and induce the flow of oil out your breather.
