47566, CAI Installed, RPM Question??? Posted by MiztahfooLish, Mar-25-03 05:18 PM I just upgraded from short ram to CAI, (e-bay cold air intake piping with a huge K&N cone filter) when I took my car for a test drive, I noticed during acceleration my RPMs are lower with the CAI compared from before when I only have the short ram intake, I was accelerating to 90-95 mph and when I shifted to 5th the RPM was only on 3000-3600. Normally I would be on 4000 rpm on 80 mph. Is this normal or do I have a problem? Any help would be so appreciated. Thanks in advance guys. | |

Posted by shuwa29, Mar-26-03 10:36 AM optimus, that guy on dsmtuners was the guy trying to rag on me for telling him he was wrong. unless you are automatic and started using your O/D (and you are a 5speed) or have the final drive mod or replaced you gears, there should be no way it's different. | |
