47556, ES Motor Mount Question Posted by WickedESi, Mar-25-03 03:27 PM
Are those black square plastic looking washers suppose to go over the front motor mount inserts? I don't see how they stay in place inbetween the engine braket w/ the motor mount while trying to get that massive bolt through the tiny little square holes in the washers. I'm getting some rattlage when decelerating, accelerating, and at idle as well.

you need to have the washers on there... just put them on the front is very easy to do

Umm, the "washers" mine came w/ arn't brass, they are plastic, and sqaure, and small???

I have the same problem, no brass washers were included. Instead, two black plastic "washers"? were supplied.
^ washers we didn't get.

Anybody know what we are suppose to do w/ these?
BTW, my motor mounts came in a small ES box, not on a shrink wrapped sheet.

I just got mine from summit. They came in a small box, but i got the washers and no plastic things. I would say just goto the hardware store and pick a couple.

47614, RE: ES Motor Mount Question Posted by WickedESi, Mar-26-03 10:07 AM
I believe we do, the inserts can slide out all the way to the engine bracket w/o them, nothing holds them close.
I forgot the company's website I got these from, can someone enlighten me? I will call/email them.
In the meantime does anyone have the demensions on those washers?

How do we know where you bought them from if you don't even know? Not trying to be a dick, but maybe I missed something.

47689, RE: ES Motor Mount Question Posted by WickedESi, Mar-27-03 09:19 AM
There is like a single major store that everyone always recommends to get them from, I'll know the name if I see it. The cost was like $22.50 or so (shipping included).

47946, RE: ES Motor Mount Question Posted by WickedESi, Mar-31-03 05:14 PM
Hey thanks for the reply XtremeRS.
I just got my bank statement today and it shows that I bought them from PTuning.com.
I emailed them about the washers, I take it I'm suppose to have the little black sqaure things installed on my car right now w/ the inserts somehow.

47953, RE: ES Motor Mount Question Posted by optimuspeterson, Mar-31-03 06:51 PM
i never saw any black sqaure things. i have the inserts then the washers on the front, and just the inserts in the rear.

yeah wierd :wary I never saw any square black dealy-oos, so not sure what you guys have. Are they made by Energy Suspension? Or some other brand?? BTW, Summit is an awsome place to do business with. Great service, good prices, and fast shipping. I love those guys!

47969, RE: ES Motor Mount Question Posted by WickedESi, Apr-01-03 06:36 AM
Yes, they are official Energy Suspension brand. They also came in a small Energy Suspension box and not on a shrink wrapped sheet.

47995, RE: ES Motor Mount Question Posted by Jayvee, Apr-01-03 04:18 PM
Yeh, that's pretty weird. I received my Energy suspension motor mounts yesterday from Ptuning and they came in a box with metal washers included, not plastic ones. :rolleyes

47996, RE: ES Motor Mount Question Posted by XtremeRS, Apr-01-03 04:21 PM
for you guys that are getting the square plastic washers, do any of you have the part#'s that came on the box??? If you click the link i gave above from Summit, that's the correct part# from Energy Suspension. This is kinda wierd :)

But, if you guys can tell me the measurments of the washer that would be great. I got spuare plastic peices too...

48062, RE: ES Motor Mount Question Posted by WickedESi, Apr-02-03 06:11 AM
Yes if anyone could tell us the washer measurements, we'll all be happy campers.

48091, RE: ES Motor Mount Question Posted by WickedESi, Apr-02-03 12:38 PM
I got a reply back from P-Tuning today. They said they had emailed Energy Suspension and they have immediately sent out the missing washers to me, and that Energy Suspension was sorry for the missing parts.
So anyone else who has not recieved them, either A) email the store you bought them from or B) email energy suspension.
I hope I didn't hurt the inserts by not having the washers in place.

I got my washers in yesterday, they came in a nice, neat package from ES.
I took out my front motor mount (which you could look down in the engine bay and see they inserts weren't getting pushed in...usless), put in the washers and put it back in.
The engine got like twice as stiff, 0 wheel hop (then again I don't have nice tires untill my wheels get in this week).
So for people saying that the rear motor mount makes much more of a difference, it's not the rear motor mount, it's just having a combination of both the inserts in it that make it really stiff (I had my rear inserts in for about 2 weeks).
I was just curious if everything in you peoples' car w/ the ES motor mount inserts vibrates like hell @ 5500+ rpm?
