So far, my idle is nice & steady at 800-900. The throttle plate is still not horizontal at wot. As far as gains are concerned, acceleration/rpms are much much quicker. 1 - 2k rpms seems a tad bit slugish, 2 - 6.5k rpms is nuts! Keep in mind that driving habits may need to be adjusted for the sensitive throttle pedal. A small tap on the pedal will instantly raise the rpm's.

Looks sweet! Just acouple questions about it! How much does it cost? Sensors?? I didnt see any sensors hooked up in your pictures!! Ive read through all the other posts on the MPTB and they didnt answer any of my questions! Once agian it looks sweet and i really wanna get one but it sounds like some peeps were having problems!

I belive I paid 235 for it, as for sensors, your old ones from the stock TB will work.

Also, the sensors are on the back side of the throttle body -- you wouldn't be able to see them.

Also -- one thing Clay and I noticed -- the fitting -- its not possible to make it face the correct way -- we just left it as such -- try as we might -- we did not want to force it into the correct orientation.

Modern Dave any ideas on the WOT issue??

Have you tried adjusting the throttle cable? Maybe theres too much slack in it to let you get it to WOT.

Made the order with Modern Performance, 1-877-247-6366. i readjusted the throttle cable and it seems to be pretty darn horizontal now.

How and where on the TB did you make the adjustment for the throttle cable?

There's a write-up on the home page about adjusting your throttle cable. You don't do it on the throttle body, you do it on the intake manifold. There are 2 bolts that hold down a bracked which holds the tube (lack of a better word) that the cable comes through. You just unbolt those and move them backwards to tighten it. But you have to do it with your intake off so you can see the throttle plate.

Once you move it back a little have a buddy step on the gas (car off obviously) and see if the plate opens all the way. Keep doing this until it opens correctly, but don't go so far that when there's no pressure on the plate that it stays open slightly or you'll have a major idle problem.

Had a friend step on the gas pedal, while i adjusted the cable. When i used a pipe to mash down the pedal it didn't open up all the way. btw when i said pretty darn horizontal, it might be off by like 5%. Hope that gives a mental picture of the plate.

This is totally random, but yeah I have cruise on my GS w/a manual..its kinda worthless though except for long road trips where i'm looking for a CD or somethin'...because as soon as you shift it goes off, and jumps the engine up about 2k to boot..but its also a good thing if you speed too much like me :D. I just set it at about 80 to 85 on the highway and my RPM's stay below 4k...that way i'm not slowly destroying my engine over the long trip..

i think i have found out why people were having such a hard time with the TB sealing. i used the paper gasket and very little silicon and it worked fine. There is a little bit of excess flashing on the manifold below the TB onthe TB mounting surface. this will need to be ground off. i saw it when i test fitted my TB and i ground it of and it fit perfectly. so everyone who is having problems with sealing, check this out!
