Well as the title says. I am just curious if you would have to switch out the rods when you go with high compression pistons. The stock rods should be good to over 200 hp right?

i wouldnt chance it, itd probably be worth it to spend a little more and get the rods while the engine is ripped apart. why high compression anyways though?

performance: K&N intake, 2.5 piping w/ magnaflow, msd wires, pacesetter header, ported tb, custom short shifter
suspension: 1.5 tenzo drop, rear strut bar.
looks: stock skirts, stock 16s, leather interior
future: rear disc, star stage 1

It would be one of those "while your in there" things. They would probably be ok but I personally would go new rods as well.

stock rods should be good for at least 275 HP. But like the above posts, its one of those things you do while you are in there. The stock rods need to be modified to to use floating wrist pins, as the stock pistons dont use floating wrist pins..
