I know about high stall torque converters and the final drive gear mod but i want to know what brands/company names of products to get to make my car as quick as a 5speed.I dont want to spend more than 800.00 otherwise i just as well do a manual swap.5speed are generaly about .5-1.0 sec's faster in the 1/4 mile.So what can i do to shave off .5-1.0

Sell your auto and buy a manual that's under $800 more than what you sold your auto for...then you get the best of both worlds...faster car, better tranny

final drive mod: $120
under drive pulley: $140
cold air intake: $100-$200
shift kit: $20
ngk plugs: $10
ngk wires: $40-$60
strait pipe: $100-$150

just some things i came up with. so that's $530-$700 so you can get an idea. i'd say with just the final drive mod and udp, that should be about .5 seconds there.

For $800 do the 5-speed swap. It takes a lot of work to make the auto tranny much faster.

yeah, when cucumber had his gs, he had 75 shot, header, exhaust, intake, udp, plugs, wires, bored throttle body and i think that's it. he ran a 14.5 @ 96 mpg in an auto. just some thoughts.

I believe all this was under $150. My car feels totally different now. I still want a higher stall TQ. converter though.
