Is boring cylinders .020 going to make any kind of performance increase?

dont you have to do this because of diffrent pistions??? i vote it will make a slight but not much

not really might increase displacement a bit but the main reason you overbore your cylinders is to make sure they're round.

if you planned on having your cylinders bored, make sure that the machine shop uses a boring plate to make sure that the block its bored round...I have seen too many motors have blowby because the cylinders are out of round after the headbolts are torqued.

Yeah really done to ensure roundess of cylinder, you will need new pistons and rings. The increase in displacement is minimal.

If you want to get picky a torque plate should be used on the head bolts and tranny bolts, both will distort the block under torqueing of the bolts.
