Hey guys, I just bought a Autometer oil pressure Gauge and was wondering where on the 420a motor could you put the nylon tubing and the sender. Any replies would be great. Thanks JUSTIN

i think you T it off the stock sender on the back of the block.

Is that easy to get to with just a floor jack or would I have to have a shop do it. Also where on the back of the block is it. Thanks, Justin.

do it yourself. Get a NPT T fitting, I forgot what size heads you need. Someone on here might know. Need to get an oil sending unit sensor socket (it's a special socket) remover. The oil sensor is behind the block, near the driver side underneath the intake mani. It's the one on the left with the green snap on. If you're gonna mount anything inside your car, I highly recommend electrical guages. Mechanical may be more accurate but the only safe place to mount them is outside.

Mechanical oil pressure is more accurate than electrical.

Use a 1 1/16 inch oil sensor socket or deep well.

3/8 inch brass fittings are what you need to T off the back of the block.

I ran a mechanical oil pressure in the car for a while with no problems of hot oil spray like people seem to think will happen. If your afraid of that use a steel braided line.

I've had the mechanical oil pressure gauge in the car for years, no problems. As long as you don't run the line so that it rubs against anything sharp you are fine, just be smart in your hook-up.
