Hey people, I have some questions about rebuilding the 420A.

Basically... What components do I need if I wanna beable to push say... 500-600hp (15-20psi) out of the engine, and how much am I looking at. Please be specific. I am lookin for a complete list, but not including fuel management... this is just engine components. I would check HRC's stage V kit, but their site is down for some reason.

Someone even told me to try and swap in a 4g63... but isn't that too much trouble?

you'll need a full bottom end kit, a stand alone fuel management system and a stage 4-5 turbo kit...
(which should come with internals and the accel fuel management system)

500hp-600hp at the wheels is not very easy to do... good luck u ahve alot of research ahead of your project...

Hmm, Im not sure how to reword the question.
I know 500-600hp very optimistic... but... i think i just want the engine to Handle 500-600hp... but really just run 300-350hp.

Im just lookin for a list of engine internals. The person I hired to rebuild my engine says the 420A isn't strong enough to do even that... And from what I've read on here, that's not the case.

But I still need to show/prove to this guy what to put inside this engine to make it stronger. He's trying to convince me into putting a 4g63 into the the car... hmm

If thats your engine guy talking, you might want to find a new one With a rebuld, the 420A can handle a lot of horsepower. And obvoisly he things it is pretty straight forward to drop in a 4G63, which is not the case. I'm not sying that he doest know what he is doing, but it doesnt seem like he does. It would be cheaper to sell your car and buy a GSX than it would be to swap in a 4g63. Just build you, turbo it, and prove him wrong.
